ABOUT US

Texas Emergency Medical Task Force 9 is one of eight state and federally funded (TXDSHS + ASPR) regions across Texas that trains, maintains, and coordinates the deployment of emergency healthcare assets from regional partners to assist communities where healthcare infrastructure has been overwhelmed or compromised by disasters both natural and man-made.

TX EMTF leverages the strengths of its partner agencies to field assets and teams of emergency medical professionals that are:

  • Rapidly deployable
  • Modular
  • Self-sustainable
  • Scalable to the incident’s needs

OUR REGION

TX EMTF-9 builds teams of Texans to support fellow Texans affected by disasters. EMTF-9 is supported by three member Regional Advisory Councils (RACs), and their partner agencies, in West Texas:

TX EMTF-9 is unique in that it is the largest in land area, but 2nd lowest in population, with the largest concentration of “frontier” counties across all the EMTF regions.

COMPONENTS

TX EMTF-9 deploys assets from partner agencies who have executed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with TX EMTF. These assets can be deployed as part of several different components organized by the EMTF program.

Texas Emergency Medical Task Force is only as strong as our partnerships with the numerous healthcare agencies willing to answer the call to help fellow Texans!
